Programm

18:00 Uhr Snacks & Drinks & sipgate sightseeing
19:00 Uhr “The Gordian Knot – Hatching Software Development Systems” mit Alberto Brandolini
Some companies are going “full DevOps” and apparently releasing at the speed of light. Other companies are still struggling with estimations and slowly thinking about going microservices. Other are happy with their monolith, but struggling with recruiting.
We’re all developers, but we’re not doing the same job. The line connecting a problem to its solution is relatively straight in some organizations and incredibly convoluted in some hours. Processes, Software architectures and Organization are not separate concerns, neither are orthogonal. Pretending to fix one thing without touching others is a losing battle.
We’re part of the problem. Our software is part of the problem. We can be part of the solution too.
This talk will be in english.
19:45 Uhr Pause und Drinks
20:00 Uhr “Why Nerds Aren“t Heard – 7 Ways Geeks Sabotage Their Own Presentations” mit David Duffett
Sadly, all too often presentations made by well-meaning Geeks are a catalogue of errors in terms of effectively conveying the message they wish to get out there…
Of course, there are a few things that, when done properly pretty much guarantee the success of a presentation! David has boiled these things down to 7 Power Presenting Protocols (especially for Nerds) and in this session he will identify the mistakes that are often made and then offer one of the Protocols to address it. Your presentations may never be the same again!
This talk will be in english.
20:45 Uhr More Snacks, more Drinks, more sightseeing
22:00 Uhr Ende unseres Meetups
